50! This is my 50th post! And for me its a great achievement. And I just noticed that Life Love and Logic is about to reach 10,000 visits soon.

There is no pattern in my blog and posting. But I honestly tried making one. Different Things! I want it to be one of the identities for this site.

So on occasion of 50, I am posting something that will definately make you smile.

Different Thing 1: Photo Thing:  Children and their rally :)

I was at my home place this weekend and I saw these sweet children of some school. A rally was arranged by school to make people aware of social issues like Population, Trees and much more(I forgot :P )

I remembered the days of childhood when we used to participate in these types of rallys :)  While passing from our colony, we boys used to wave at mothers standing in front of our homes looking at their children proudly. Sweet days, sweet memories……………

Different Things 2: Another Photo Thingy: Green Green Everywhere

My home is surrounded by fields. You would love to live there in winter and also in Rainy season. Its all green everywhere you see. This year, rain is bit low and things have just started getting green. Fields aren’t getting up yet, so they are still little black. Have a look at it. :)

All photos are taken by me and I am thankful of my camera phone Sony Ericsson K750i.
I haven’t put copyright or watermark on images, but I will like to request anyone intending to use them, please drop me a note here.

Just watched hancock at a theater near my home :D And let me start review with rating. My rating is **. Yes, its two star!!

Hancock Movie Still

Hancock Movie Still

There is nothng special about this movie and its just Will Smith all over. Its not a boring movie but its not must watch type. So if you have no time to spare then don’t worry and watch this later on DvD.
There is no scope for acting as this is an action film. There are few drawbacks and mistakes.

Story: (No Spoilers):
Hancock, a superhero, always drunk, everyone calls him drunkard and he keeps getting angry on them. He catches criminals but this costs his city crores. He keeps destroying everything around him wherever he goes. He saves life of a man who tries to make him a good man. And then many things happen and the “only” twist in whole story comes after interval. Finish. This is max I can write about story.

If you want my opinion, don’t waste more than 40-50 bucks on movie.

Cheers
Suda

P.S> Thanks to all who replied on my previous post. I will reply comments as soon as possible. Using net-cafe restricts many things actually. Have a nice day. :)

sad

I am sad.

Yes. I am very sad.

You-Know-Who is no longer in Pune.

Her damn company transferred her away.

Now I am left here to spend weekends alone.

Sad!!!

I am listening to this song (its hindi)

कहने को साथ अपने इक दुनिया चलती है, पर चुप के इस दिल में तनहाई पलती है… बस याद साथ है… तेरी याद साथ है…!!!

:(

“He is natural, this Suda, really refreshing personality”

“He is just a child yaar, don’t talk about personality, he is just sweet”

“This boy is simply born to smile and make us smile”

“Suda, will you please control and try not to smile while I am trying to teach?”
—>”What? no I am not smiling at anything madam!! Why are you saying that?”

“No madam, his face is have that smile always, he is not trying to intrude your teaching or anything :P”

“I love it when you smile, make me shiver with…..”

…………………..

I remember hearing these lines every now and then at home, in school, from teachers, from neighbours, at playgrounds, from junior college staff, at Engineering classes, from lecturers(Ladies!!!!) who were hardly a year older than me, from my classmates and now only from my (will be) soulmate!! My grandma always did “Najar Utaro Bachcheki” stuff whenever she got chance. (Somebody please explain “Najar Utarna” in English for others).
All this stuff is in past tense!!   Isn’t it?

Why? (That is an interesting question!!)

I don’t know, no, or do I?.

I used to write poems from childhood. I used to paint interesting (not artistic or good) paintings, I used to sing well when encouraged. I was so soft by nature that I never snapped back or quarreled with anybody who troubled me. And what about now? Don’t ask(and I suggest don’t try provoking me if you care for your health :P )

Ohh enough of this “I was like this…” “I was like that…”

Why I am not like that now?

At least do I have my precious smile still?

Its there always, I know, someone brings it back always, but its not long lasting like it used to!!

I am rethinking about these changes today!!!

Reasons? Will find out soon.

I am thinking all this today because few hours ago, while chatting with my co-worker friends,  I remembered an incident of past. In 12th,  I was very ill. My father too had lost his hope and at least once he thought he will never see me again. But I was oblivious to all these things and was as usual cheerful. When doctor told me I am ill with something and its little dangerous, I just replied,” Hey doc, just tell me how many days you want to cure me? I need to plan some study also. I am in 12th man!!!’. I never got why both doctors were stunned for few seconds and my father actually looked away.
And let me tell you, I just believed in my will-power, to make all these people smile again, I fought with those (I forgot names) illnesses (good word :D , disease is bad word ) and finally got rid of them.
The doctor and his wife said later, ” I have never had a patient like this. Because of him, I was able to cure other patients around him in less time.”

A grand new quest to bring smile back to my face is undertaken by myself. Will be joined by you-know-who soon.

Cheers
Suda

P.S.  If this post is too much “About Me” or too much “I” “I” then “maaf karo bhai”(apologies) :)

Hello friends, I have decided to resume my blogging. Ok ok, enough of “bhago!!! bhago!!” (”Run!! Run!!”). I am not going to be that dreadful now. I have decided to make Canopenner my unofficial Guru and I am going to be Eklavya I mean I am going to use his style in my own style. Not today though. Today is my come-back day :D

Different thing 0: Suda will write stories now, (not here!!!)

Announcement: I have started short-story telling and writing. No further explanation here. Go and see this.

Different thing 1: Gmail and phishing warning

Today I opened my inbox and found lots of “spam’ in my spam folder. Just for curiocity, I opened one of them and I found this. See screenshot:(click to enlarge)

I was glad to see the red strip above text of mail. Look closely, its a warning from Gmail about this mail. I already knew this mail is popular phishing mail but for non-technical users, this is important. Good work Gmail!!
More info: Gmail Support Center

Also I suggest everyone using Gmail to have a look at Gmail Privacy and Security.

Different Things 2 : buses resting after a days hard work

Photo by: Suda, location: market yard bus depo at Pune. (Click to see full resolution picture)

Sleeping soundly, aren’t they?

Ok now you know, there is no bang. :D

But I am back for sure

Cheers
Suda.

I will make this post very short :D

In all I got very few gifts :P But they are worth having :)

First my best mates gave me a Laughing Budhha with his hands up in air. He is holding some golden things in his hands. Well its very cute little chap with tummy little bigger than me :D Here is his photo :D (click to see him clearly)

And I got a nice, sweet T-shirt from my senior-didi-guide-colleague-panjabi kudi-neighbor at office. Its a cool shirt!!!!

Finally I got a funky shirt from my you-know-who. Its a temporary gift I guess, as she is trying to get something(I don’t exactly know what) for me from many days and without me to help, she is finding it rather difficult. :D But I know she will manage it herself.

Enough for today. And thanks to all friends who wished me. Also I am little busy now a days and really don’t get much time for reading and commenting. Forgive me for absence, I will fill it later in timesheets :D

I woke up early today. A little too early because watch was showing 7 o’clock. I tried to stand up and walk but *extreme headache* blinded me for few seconds. Damn cold!!! Supporting myself I walked to big mirror we have at our flat. And guess what, I thought I am looking little older today!! (I know I already look older than my age!!) I remembered its my birthday  :D So I said Happy Birthday to Mee and Grinned ear to ear like this -> :D

A surprise morning party with you-know-who as special guest was waiting for me when I got ready for office. (As my friends considered the case I am ill and need to sleep last night and they postponed mid-night party to morning) Too much surprise :P (Bad habit of predicting things by following clues :D I had already heard few lines when they were planning but I pretended to be ignorant :P)  But I am happy. Afterall its my birthday and I have nothing else to do other than bearing with damn headache and keep smiling face for friends and accept their wishes.

its a hard work hiding the real pain but I don’t mind.  Should I?

Recently, we saw how a bloggers content was stolen and published by a newspaper without proper permission or reference! So now everybody is conscious about security of their content. Actually no one can control the Internet but there are some ways by which we can make sure our content retains owners identification.
Best way to protect an image or photograph is adding a watermark to it.
What is a watermark?
A watermark is embedded image/logo/text/symbol on an image as mark of identification of owner.
How to add watermark to an image?
Its quite simple. And I have a FREE way of doing it for you. (Most of professional watermarking software come with price tag of more than 20$)
Where I can get a watermark image?
Good question!!! We need a logo or something like that for creating a watermark. But, how many of us have a logo? Well certainly very few( I mean 10 out of 10000). So here is a site which helps you creating a signature. Or you can just use Paint, photoshop or GIMP or nay image editing software for creating a watermark image. It can be anything that will identify your authority. Your name or your ite’s name is a good idea. Site: MyLiveSignature (http://www.mylivesignature.com/)

Step 1: Download and install FastStone Image Viewer from their download page here. or copy paste this in your address bar “http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm”
download size around 4 mb

Step 2: Run FastStone Image Viewer. And navigate to your intended images folder using explore on left side of its window. You can select your folder later but its simple to do it here. We will explore other features afterwards, for now concentrate on what I tell you.

Step 3: Now, go to “TOOLS” menu and then select “BATCH CONVERT/RENAME” menu. See the below snapshot for guidance. Now read next instruction, don’t start exploring yet. :P

Step 4: You now have to check the check-box named “Use Advanced options(Resize….)”. I have circled it in screen shot below, click to enlarge it.

On checking that box, a button appears in front of the label “Use Advanced options(Resize….)” called “Advanced Options”. Clicking it will take you to next screen where you will see lots of tabs and no other options except one t top. Ignore all others and head to “Watermark” tab. There you will see a check box labeled “Use Watermark” which upon checking will take thou to next step.

Step 5: See screen shot before reading. You already have checked circled point no 1.

Now No 2 circle around a button which is similar to “browse for file” button we usually see everywhere. Clicking it will open a dialog box for selecting the watermark image. Here you can select file of your choice(hope you are wise enough to find a good watermark image). After selecting, your watermark image will be now showing at bottom-right corner.

Step 6: Use options like position, background, shadow etc for adjusting the watermark. Or you can simply drag it. I recommend setting position as “center” and then adjusting it a little. Keeping watermark at bottom or near to edge wont work. People can crop to keep it aside.

Here you can save your settings to an external file if you are going to use same settings again. If you leave it, next time FastStone will load settings from last run!

Step 7: Now you are done with setting watermark. Push OK button and you come back to previous window. But wait, we are not done yet. You need to select an output folder. Be precise while choosing it and take care not to overwrite original ones.

Its always good to keep backup before editing anything. Select which images you want to process. You can do single as well as multiple images at a time. Now just press “start” and wait for FastStone to do its work.
Finally:

Using FastStone has many advantages. Its free, simple, powerful, capable of multiple-processing etc. As usual, I have tried to make things as simpler as I can. Techies don’t curse me for spoon feeding, all are not that capable of self learning. I know this little tutorial can be enhanced in many ways, please use it and then tell me if it requires any additions.

Output:
Now click on this image and see the enlarged version. You can see the watermark. This is just a sample, and you are free to use any small image as watermark. But do not forget that the image you choose must be able to identify you!!!

Damn, I wanted to post a nice experience I had while travelling home but this is more important.
Ask as many doubts as you can. I will try to help everybody.

Update: T94XR Suggested this site which is lot easy to use if you keep photos on Flickr.

For now Cheers
Suda

A trip to Lonavla (a famous place between Pune-Mumbai) and a nice weekend with you-know-who was a great experience for me. And there was the fog. Everywhere a white cool fog.

I was standing with you-know-who and posing for photos. The environment was giving out best quality fog ever made. :P I was feeling like in heaven. Effect of person holding hands with you add to effects of natures. So heaven was on earth for me and thenhen I saw a camel walking smoothly at a distance. A group of children sitting on it. I was in mood of heaven and thought Wow, heaven also have camels to ride :D. Then you-know-who poked me in ribs and I was told to stand while one of the most memorable shots in life was taken. Well I agree that the photo I was posing for turned out to be my(our) best photo ever. A friend actually clicked photo from different angle and we were looking at different camera. So back to camel. I was awaken by flash of lightning(or was it because of somebody tapped on my head?) and took out my camera to take this shot in time. :D

After that, we traveled some distance and went on some hill. I am not giving descriptions here but it was a nice place and thee we met someone interesting!!

Cheers

Warning: Spoilers!!! Read at your own risk.
After posting a review of Sarkar Raj movie, I felt like I missed some points I wanted to write. I always do this. Its my bad habit to forget things once marked to write about. Coincidence is today I found Nikhil is also facing same problem :D
Let it be. So there are two scenes and many dialogs I liked in Sarkar Raj. I will make an Audible Audio Collection of handpicked dialogs from Sarkar and Sarkar Raj soon. But till then we have to write.
First Scene which impressed me includes Abhishek Bachchan who plays Shankar Nangare on film.
The scene is something like this: Shankar is traveling through a village which is protesting against him and his plans to erect a plant on the place of village. Shankar’s car is stopped by protesters and they start shouting different slogans against him. He silently and sadly listens them while suddenly someone in crowd shouts “Subhash Nangare is thief”. Next moment we find Shankar bursting out of his car with full of anger (Subhash Nangare his father). The crowd ceases silent with a gasp and Shankar shouts at them,” Who called that line? Tell me! Who shouted it?”, The crowd remains silent and afraid of speaking anything. He shouts again, “What thief? Tell me face to face what he has theft?” …….. the silence continues and he angrily returns to his car as no one dares to move a muscle in front of him. He becomes very upset………
Surely, director RGV had this in his mind from the moment he thought of sequel. Some incidents in movie before this shot create a little arrogant image of Shankar in our mind. Somewhere inside we think if this boy has lost his respect or what? And there comes a point where he gets very angry and first time ever threatens public. Every son in this world would do this for his father for sure. But watching incident like this happen (at least on screen) after many months (may be years) made me to recall some old memories from childhood.

A father is always subject of pride to his children. Not a single word against him is tolerated by any son. (Well, exceptions are everywhere though rare).

Second scene I liked is totally different than first and there is not emotional value in it. Its just a very violent scene.
Somji (the leader of protesters) is kidnapped by some people and Chandar (one of Shankar’s right hands, yes he has more) finds out about his location. Shankar accompanied by two of his hands :D attacks the farmhouse where Somji is hidden by kidnappers. Shankar creates fire (plz don’t ask how) and distracts the security around building. The smoke spreads everywhere like fog and it becomes very difficult to see around. Shankar and his mates walk through smoke, mates kill people with nothing(?) may be with little guns and Shankar picks up a spade (normally used for fighting and originally made for gardening) and starts hitting anyone who comes in way. They approach the building and he keeps hitting every person in range. Other two mates pick long guns (AK 47) and start shooting remaining. They finally find out Somji and Shankar empties his revolver in villains body. (Villain previously killed Shankar’s wife).
So, whats so special in this scene? If you have seen this in a good big theater, then you will know the effect of the scene. When Shankar hits the guys in front of him, it seems so real that we get scared without any reason. Shankar and his mates walk through the smoke and field which reminded me walking of Dinasours in empty grass field. :P Scene is very violent but at same time its so realistic. At least I found attacking sequence very impressive.
I told you that second scene is not much important but still I liked it. :D
Hope I get the movie DVD soon so I can extract the dialogs from it. :P
